As mentioned earlier, we have some visitors from Stockholm. Although, both Isabel and Sofia have lived her for several years before (Isabel is an old classmate) - they where thrilled to be back, as we ventured around in local haunts and bars. First stop was to our favorite bar in Grazia, Nois i Art - here we enjoyed some dinner and later, "carefully" sipped on the 80% alcohol and 20% Red Bull drinks. Pheew!

I´m Thinking...I Like It?
This picture is taken at the Wool and The Gang Dinner and After-Party, in London during Fashion Week. Mary-Kate always looks groomed (I love the Stella McCartney shoes she is wearing from SS09!) - but I was especially intrigued by Nate Lowman´s flowery scarf.
I think I like it.. Either way, I love that guys dare to wear bold and "unexpected" accessories - what do you think??

DAILY OUTFIT: "The Red Coat"
I know the sun has come to Barcelona, and I´m slowly starting to pack out all my summer stuff (a bit enthusiastic, I know). But it was something about this coat, I just couldn´t resist; the strong red, with the "folkloric" pattern - combined with the width and heavy neck part. Expect for it being a bit too big (I fixed that with the belt), it´s perfect, and it stands out. I love that.Obviously, I will be using it mostly next winter - but I´m definitely going to bring it with me to cold London next week!

A Royal Wedding
I was thrilled to hear that the Swedish Royal Family today announced the engagement between Crown Princess Victoria Bernadotte and her husband-to-be Daniel Westling. The wedding will be held next spring, 2010, in Stockholm.Besides from that I am really happy for Victoria and Daniel, I wish Victoria will take this opportunity to wear something stunning. Victoria said in an interview last year that she was thinking about letting a Swedish designer design her weddingdress.
Personally, I really hope she will fallow her mothers example, and marry in French Haute Couture (Queen Silvia married in Dior, picture 1) or why not a Marchesa (picture 2)?

Styling My iPhone
I am finally beginning to love my iPhone and now couldn't imagine a life with out it ...I have everything I need when and where ever I am. You Can Do Better #2
I was really dissapointed when reviewing the F/W 09 collection from Twenty8Twelve. Designers Sienna and Savannah Miller were the only ones nicely dressed at the catwalk. The pale models walked down in unexciting clothes that looked like a combination between Topshop two seasons ago, and a bad version of Balmain. Probabaly some of the pieces will be wearable and exciting one by one, but together they gave me no reason to fire away a smile like Siennas. The only exception, is the look picture above - the brands signature leather jacket, a flowery tunic and focus on the legs.
Candlelight Seduction
One of our stops during Valentines Day were hotel/restaurant/bar Lydmar in Stockholm. When entering the lobby, an amazing scent seduced me - Byredo Bibliothéque scented candle.
They are so expensive, (around 47 euros) I will have to wait until I am a working girl, and not a student, before I invest in one (but then, I am going to have one in each room!).

The Popcorn Bar
Yesterday we went to the old part of the city in El Borne. There we managed to squeeze ourselves into a tiny local bar, where they happen to serve you popcorn for every drink you order (which makes you just keep on ordering drinks, because you are so thirsty from all the salt! Very smart.)
Anyway, after a couple of Mojitos and pineapple shots - I stumbled across some rather weird looking people. Come on, I know the early Madonna style is back - with the lace & lingerie - but isn´t this just over-doing it? (Although, noted there was festivities & carnival in the city, but still.)

I'm Alive
..but that is an almost alive. Yesterday started with the movie preview of "Män som hatar kvinnor" based on the book by Stieg Larsson. Then we went down to Sturecompagniet for the afterparty, and ended at Spybar.

Calvin Klein Fall 2009
In Francisco Costa´s latest CK collection, its all about texture and fit. With asymmetrical lines, built-in shoulders, over-the-knee length cuts - and using materials such as silk, satin and even experimenting with felted wool - CK has reached yet a new level of excellence.
As usual - black was the dominating color, with some input from forest green, mustard-yellow and ice grey.
In some weird way, when seeing the collection, I felt it was out of this universe, moving over to the Sci-Fi era. It might be a combination of the pale static-looking models and dominant shapes - what do you think?

Welcome To Miami
I recently returned to Stockholm from Miami and I am very excited to go back next month but this time I am not going for business. I’ll be going there to visit some of my close friends ☺
My flight to cross the seas leaves on March 23 and I arrive just in time for the Miami Winter Music Conference. Basically from the 24th to the 28th of March, electronic music world takes over every club, bar, pool, street corner, beach, warehouse, diner and restaurant with amazing house music, endless parties and fist-pumping European and American partiers without an off switch.
Over 2,000 djs will be filling the streets of Miami for a week -long party! I can assure you, the conference is definitely the place to see and be seen.
I’ll make sure to take loads of sunny pics for those unfortunate ones, stuck in cold Europe. I’m so excited!!

Temperley London Fall 2009
Alice Temperley decided to do things a little differently this year. Through a simultaneous online video launch - she showed her collection from her loft in Soho."I've been looking for an alternative way to show for a while now, and with editors and retailers cutting back on travel, the video seemed like a good, maybe even greener, way to reach a wider audience," Temperley explained.
The style of the collection is very different then her signature style (with flowing materials, soft colors & shapes.) For this fall, she opted for sharp-military tailoring, combined with gold studs, figure forming dresses and Japan-inspired motives and silks. Even though the collection was darker, she played with a lot of colors, such as yellow, white, burgundy and red.
Yet another one of my favorites from the NYFW for the fall season!

"Iconic Woman of Music" - being inspired by legends like Stevie Nicks & early Madonna - Jill Stuart has truly delivered an exquisite collection for Fall 2009. There was a mixture of fine-cut tailoring and loose-fit "cowboy-romance" - with materials like satin, chiffon & leather, and a minimalist color palette; ranging from black & creme, to a hint of green, pink & grey. In my opinion - one of the best collections so far from NY Fashion Week. (I especially like the detail with the hat & flower!)It´s collections and designs like this - which actually make me look forward to next fall.

As I told you before, I am a real history geek. Combined with my interest in fashion, Fashion History has always been my favourite subject in IED. Greek designer Sophia Kokosalaki was inspired by ancient Egypt when designing her latest collection ,which you easily notice when looking at the silk fabics, golden details and the sharp Egyptian hairstyle.

Give Me This Green
This was one my favorite pieces (and colors!), from the Stella McCartney Spring/Summer Show-09. I especially liked the sunglasses with the matching rope/headband. I have already seen some copies in the high-street shops - but the copies are very fair, and the color is definitely not the same. Let me know if you see anything!The pictures where taken while I was working during the show in Paris. Nicola Peters - my former college, took the top picture (from backstage). By the way, can you see Anna Wintour sitting on the first row, on the second picture, in fur? (As most of you probably know, Stella McCartney is extremely anti-fur!). Oh, what a controversy.

Im Back!
Hello again everyone,
Sorry for the delay in my posts. My work (and social reasons haha) mean I have been traveling a lot in the past 2 months. On my travels I have taken in the UK, Dubai and Miami. So I will be posting some things from the past month on the blog!

The Opera
Yesterday I went to a jewellery exhibition at The Opera in Stockholm. I started having "after work" Bellinis with Anna Hibbs around five, and the last champagne glass was empty around 23.00. Tonigt I'm going to Petra Tungårdens birthdayparty, and then maybe pop into Spybar. At the exhibition I got a compliment for the "inspirational music" in this blog. The premiere of the much awaited movie, from the authors Greg Behrendt and Liz Tucillo - "He´s Just Not That Into You" - premiered in L.A last week.
The event was star specked with celebrities and I have pictured
above some of the best dressed from the premiere.

Purple, Lace & Wine
I have always had a curious passion for black broderies. I think it retains a sense of elegance, as well as a peculiar linkage to innocence (even though, I know most would say the opposite about black lace) - for me it is very pure and classic.
I found this gorgeous dress from a Spanish brand called, Promod. I don´t usually shop there - but I was more than happy to find this cute little thing, reduced to 7 (!) euros. The price fits perfect to my "student budget", which I don´t often - but with great effort, try to maintain!
So yesterday, when we went for some wine, I merrily hopped into my new lace-dress, but added some color to my make-up, with my new purple eyeshadow stick (from H&M).

Walk In The Park
Just came back from a long nice walk in Parc Guell (the famous Gaudi park), with the girls. Aside from all the tourists, we enjoyed the fresh air and exercise.
Tonight I´m hosting a dinner and pre-party - I will tell you more about how that ended up tomorrow. Now I have to prepare my thesis idea to my tutor, meeting him in 2 hours!

Back To Basic
I love this fashion spread (taken from an old issue of Jalouse Magazine). "Nature Boho Chic" - maybe be gone for the summer, but I for one, am planning of taking a lot of inspiration from the "basic" trends of the 70s (with a mixture of natural make-up, silver jewelry, leather - and textured, knitted materials).
So as Camilla has already told you, she has left for Stockholm (I´m already lonely in the flat!). But I have a busy schedule, with a strict gym plan, some vintage shopping and a lot of going out with my girlfriends (will post pictures during the weekend!).

A Stockholm Weekend
I'm going to Stockholm tomorrow morning, to see my boyfriend, friends and family. I'm planning to spend my nights on the dancefloor at Spybar and the days at my favourite café Saturnus. Picture 1 - is of one of my best friends Isabel. As you can see, she is amazingly beautiful and stylish, but what makes her a good friend is her inspirational personality. As a birthday gift, she painted a picture of me and her. Some days ago, she sent me a goodnight-story she recorded.
Picture 2 - is actually me, the same day. (That was before I realized Barcelona is not made for high heels, and jumped into my Converse every morning).

I say...
STUDS! I read in Costume (a Danish/Norwegian fashion magazine) - that studs are gone for this spring!? I love the silver plated trend, and I will happily use it with a light jeans shirt, combining it with pastels and florals - on a hot summer day. Conventional and "what is hot or not" - so boring.
Here I am in my "signature" attire - wearing the studs within the "goth" trend. Vintage studded belt from Camden Market (London).

There is no doubt the French know their fashion - I for one, have always wanted to live in Paris, wonder the streets with utter Parisian chic and confidence (if only.)
For now - I can at least dream myself away in Jalouse.

Monday: Comfort First
I'm really bored when we do not have school. I've been in a classroom every year since I was seven (now I am 21), and during vacations I usually work. So, what do you do with a free day? I have been cleaning, buying food, ironing, packing, reading books and magazines. (And, because healthy Anneli is away, I had a pizza and a Coca-Cola!). Give me school, or work!

Canon Ixus 7.0
Without a doubt: Canon Ixus 7.0 is the best digital camera - it takes amazing pictures, great color adjustments and multiple exposure settings (it is also very easy to use.) I carry it with me wherever I go, and it has yet to date, never failed on me.I´m having a very nice sunday - I went to the gym this morning (finally rid of my flu!). And now I´m lying in the sofa finishing of my Marian Keys book. I also just realized there is no class tomorrow, and I am bit tempted to go out for some drinks!☺
