Wish List - Spring/Summer #2

This gorgeous light grey blazer from Topshop,  will be perfect for my spring/summer attire!!

Think high waisted skirt and casual tee - or loose fit dress with bangles and bright accessories (to glam it up). Combined with either casual sandals or laced-up booties!

Yes please!

ZEBRA.

I love this zebra dress from the H&M Trend department (organic cotton). Although I had to shorten it a bit - it will be the perfect dress to slouch around in the upcoming, hot summer days (with tanned legs and colorful accessories - for now; black boots and tights).

With that - have a lovely evening! I am still recovering from my flu, watching Lipstick Jungle (I am hooked!)

I´m wearing dress from H&M Trend, silver necklace from Bimba & Lola, black wool jacket from Zara, black scarf from H&M (male dep.), Wolford black tights, boots from Vogue and bag from Balenciaga.

Love,

Nighttime Black

Daytime Black

Jeans and scarf Zara, Converse, leather bag Don Donna, Chanel-inspired jacket found vintage.

Latest Buys.

I´ve had a fever and the cold for a week now (and it won´t go away!). But today I couldn't stand lying in bed anymore, so I tempted myself a little trip out downtown. I went for lunch with an old friend, and did some errands - which ended it up in a few (very innocent) purchases...

White top & silver necklace from Bimba & Lola and black silk top, jeans shorts & zebra printed dress from H&M.

Fashion History Inspiration: Orientalism

Paul Poiret designs by illustrator Georges Le Pape. (If you ever wondered where Miucca Prada found her inspiration for the legendary silk turban - I am pretty sure she is also a fan of Poiret).

Im wearing leather jacket from Saints&Demons, black "furry" cardigan from Acne, black cashmere jumper from Filippa K, bag from Balenciaga, black scarf and tights from H&M, printed scarf (vintage) and shoes from Vogue.

A Chloé Girl For Life?

A dear friend of me and Anneli (a guy actually) asked us the question : If you could only choose one designer that you had to wear for the rest of you life, always, which designer would that
be? I could not answer his questions for months, but after seeing the latest Chloé collection, I'm sure. I'm 100 % a Chloé girl, and have been so through Stella McCartneys, Phoebe Philo, Paolo Melim Andersson and now latest Hannah MacGibbons rule.

The clothes are a perfect mix between femininity and masculinity. I never been very found of dressing too feminine, and masculine tailoring makes me feel secure and comfortable. And; look at the four looks above - they suit all occasions:

1. A dress for a finer dinner.

2. A outfit perfect suitable for a night out.

3. A mix you could easily wear to work.

4. A day dress with a beautiful detail, paired with flats it is the ideal brunch dress.

What designer or brand would you choose?

Life.

You know there are days when you´re mind is blank, and you have no inspiration or aspiration, to do any better? Well that´s how I feel today.

Funnily enough, I just came back from a Personal Feedback session with one of my favorite, and most inspiring teachers. I received top marks and all with it (I am very happy!). But with that - I am ready to re-tract & reflect a bit, start contemplating on my future path (both work related and on an personal level).

Hope this didn´t sound to melancholic?? Anyways - with not much inspiration (within fashion, that is) - I give you a picture of the beautiful and exquisite, Kate Winslet & the handsome and charming, Leonardo Di Caprio. I went to see their latest movie, Revolutionary Road, yesterday.

If you expect to get a similar re-run of Titanic - you are very mistaken. I for one, had not read about the movie - and was expecting to cry tears of joy, and "happy endings" (I brought I whole toilet roll with me!).

The film took me by surprise - but not in a bad way. Sam Mendes has directed a very raw and dark film, about life (set in the 1950s) - and how having "everything", is not necessarily the road to happiness.

Beautiful cinemographi, excellent actor performance and cast ensemble!

On that note - I wish you  great day!

Love,

Bravo, John Galliano!

It has been a long time now since fashion made me speechless. I have felt that the designers are just repeating themselves or copying eachother. I am glad to see that John Galliano did not forget what fashion is really about - making people and their bodies even more beautiful, exciting, mysterious and seductive.

Dior Pre-Fall 09 collection is all I longed for - classic, beautiful tailoring with a artistic and sexy flare. A little bit like Cruella de Vil meets Gossip Girl, don't you think?

Emily B(eautiful)lunt

You might recognize her from "The Devils wears Prada" (the film which, funnily enough, made me want to intern). There she plays the tad psychotic and unstable fashion assistant. The clothes featured in the film are to-die-for, but Emily has proven her delectable fashion taste off-screen as well.

Here the "English Rose" is pictured in silver gown from Pamela Rowland, at the Screen Actors Guild Awards´09.

Divine!

Longing.

I am longing for the Spring (as you might have noticed). I have so many plans for what to wear - I feel more inspired than ever. As mentioned in yesterday´s post - I am all for the jeans trend, as well as bright colors, studs, soft material, leather and snakeskin patterns (I love the combination of animal print with pastels!).

Best Dressed - Stockholm Fashion Week

1. Isabel Brismar Lind, model.
2. Emma Elwin, fashion editor assistant.
3. Hanna Fridén, writer.

All pictures from stureplan.se photographed by Mathias Nordgren and Jan Sulocki.

Jeanomania

I love the Spring/Summer trend with jeans in all colors. I have picked out my favorites from my cupboard:

1. H&M Vest (new collection)
2. Miss Sixty Jacket (vintage) in white jean
3. Stella McCartney Oversized shirt (reminds me a bit of the Lanvin & Acne Collaboration)
4. Black/Grey home-made Jeans Skirt

INSPIRATION: Hari Blanch

I only got to know Hari very recently, through a mutual friend in London. It was hard not to warm to her straight away.

With her light sweet voice, and fun style (she was wearing a white snakeskin jumpsuit - cropped at the knee, with bright red lipstick, combined with brown Mary Jane´s and a gorgeous white vintage fake fur) - she looked stunning! It definitely made my outfit bleak in comparison.

Ladies & Gentlemen - I give you todays inspiration.

Stylish Friends: Ida Rislöw

My friend Ida is without doubt my favourite model. She has a really special look, and an inspirational, minimalistic style. And, her boyfriend Cristian Dinamarca is (in my opinion) Stockholms best DJ right now. A beautiful couple, that is for sure.

"Expensive" Beauty Products: Overrated?

I say NO. Some certain products are very "hyped" (e.g Creme de La Mer and La Praire). But during my many purchases of various brands and products - my favorites stand pretty clear:

1. Joico K-Pak Hair Mask
2. Joico Colour Endure Shampoo (perfect for brunettes with blond highlights - as it takes out the yellow and extracts with purple, which neutralizes the color)
3. Caudalié Face Tonic
4. Biotherm Body Moisturizer (the best!)
5. Aussie Hair Shine Serum
6. Perfumes: Stella McCartney "Sheer" & Tom Ford "Black Orchid"

Wish List - Spring/Summer #1

We´ve had "Christmas Wish list", and "Yes Please, Santa". Now it´s time for our "Wish List - Spring/Summer".

First item out - is the Mulberry Large Mabel Shoulder Bag (the one Camilla has in orange). The color is one of my favorite, and I know it will look perfect with numerous of my already existing outfits (and - it will stand out, as the perfect "statement" bag.)

This Weekend

Had an amazing weekend - these are some pictures from my many outings!

As you can see - I was very for the the gathering of necklaces - mixing metal chains with long pearls. And as usual - in my "signature" black.

Sorbet and Platforms

I absolutely LOVE the new Spring/Summer´09 collections at Topshop.

They go under 4 main themes:

1. Glory Days (English heritage patterns and themes - florals, Union Jack and pinstriped blazers)
2. Memphis (bleached denim, cowboy and Mexican flare - with focus in leather satchels and waistcoats)
3. Sport Nouveau (80s sportswear in pastels and silk material - oversized blazers with zip details and space-age platforms)
4. Witchcraft (voodoo and eclectic designs - with wrapping and layer style, combined with graphic leggings, studs and metal chains)

I like all different styles, but I myself - think I´m going for the sorbet colors and space-age platforms this summer (Sport Nouveau).

Summer Style: Matthew Williamson

I met Matthew Williamson once - at a pre London Fashion Week party - he smiled and was very attentive (and even more gorgeous in real-life). Anyways, I´ve always been a big fan of his clothes, especially his summer collections - which go perfect for a Mediterranean holiday, a jet-set party in St.Tropez or a lazy summer day in the city.

Mhh...I´m already dreaming myself away to it.

Inspiration: Maria Andersson

Once again, artist Maria Andersson from Sahara Hotnights strikes me with her style. (If I'm not wrong), the green dress is from Swedish brand Minimarket S/S09 collection. As we said before: light green is one of the hottest colors this spring.

Outfit: Sushi Dinner

This is how I looked yesterday, when I went out for dinner at Kibuka - Barcelonas best sushi . I kept the look I had on the day before, but I added the fake fur.

The dinner was lovely -especially the Hot Philadelphia Rolls and the Spicy Tuna. Promise me you try it if you ever come to Barcelona.

PPQ of Mayfair

My good friend, Richie - told me about PPQ of Mayfair. It is a British based brand - famous amongst the likes of Lily Allen, Sienna Miller, Keira Knightley, Jade Jagger, Peaches Geldof and Agyness Denn. It was originally launched in 1992 (by Amy Molyneaux and Percy Parker) - but it´s not until recently, the brand has come on the fashion radar.

I love the clothes, with it´s eclectic designs and strong sense of "sweet meets BAD". I´m also intrigued by the humor and personality the clothes retain. Every piece seems to be a "statement piece".

Look out for the brand in a store near you, or check out their webpage: www.ppqclothing.com

Red.

During the cold winter - when you have pale skin, and you´re hair looks less shiny - how to make yourself glow just a little? I say RED lips.

Someone asked me where it is from -  lipstick by Rimmel "Alarm".

Bread & Butter´09

I just came back from the Bread & Butter Fashion Fair in Barcelona. It´s a major event for the fashion brands, which takes place in Barcelona 2 times a year. Here all the brands and designers, within high fashion, denim, urban and sport - gathers with their designs in customized stalls. There´s live music, parties, events and a good vibe the whole week.

Today, the sun was shining, and we where sitting amongst it all, drinking cold beer and looking at what everyone was wearing (the fun part of it!).

Now, I´m exhausted and have to rest!

Catch you later,

DAILY OUTFIT (Anneli): Drinks&Dancing #2

As Camilla mentioned, we went out to the club Solo yesterday (finally a new place to go on Tuesdays, other then Buddha Bar!).

Anyway - I decided to try a "new look" yesterday, with red lipstick and black eyeliner (my inspiration? Blair Waldorf aka. Leighton Meester, off course). Let me know what you think!

I am wearing, headband and sequin top from H&M, vintage black dress, black tights from Wolford and my new, black booties from Bimba&Lola.

Love,

Tuesday Night Out

Yesterday Anneli and I went out to have a couple of drinks with our classmates, to celebrate the success of our portfolio presentations. We ended up at the club SOLO, where we danced the night away (until we realized we had to be up in five hours). My main partner in crime yesterday was my beautiful friend Aurore from Belgium, pictured above.

This morning 9.30, we all met up again in school for a presentation. We did not look as glowing as yesterday, I can assure you. Dress H&M, Tights Armani, shoes Zara, earrings Åhléns, clutch vintage.

Stylish Friends: Fie

In this new category, I will share my favourite photos of friends that inspire me.
Danish born Fie (Anne-Sofie) is one of the most beautiful people I ever met. Not only because of her perfect smile or great style, she has an energy, charm and laughter that spreads across every room she enters. And - I'm so jealous of her vintage Ray Ban collection!

Converse & Popcorn

Many people have previously commented on Camilla and I as the "Love Couple"; we travel together, I cook (she does the dishes), we take long walks, we party together and even double-date!

Yesterday we trotted along in our matching Converse, on our way to the cinema (she bought the popcorn, while I got the drinks and saved us the seats).

Camilla is wearing black trousers from Zara, leather jacket from H&M, cashmere jumper from Strøhms, vintage scarf & Converse.

Male Style Icon #1

Camilla and I have been discussing it for a while, and after receiving a very nice mail/feedback from a guy friend about our blog yesterday - we have decided to have some more posts about male style.

The first male inspiration, is none other then Ed Westwick. Most of you might know him as Chuck Bass, the "villan/hottie" from Gossip Girl (our favorite TV-series).

He dresses amazing, both on and of -screen (although the styles are completely different from each other). I love his off-screen look, the rugged, "rock" style look - with the blazer, v-necks and converse. But it´s his style on Gossip Girl - which has put him on the "best dressed" list world over. Here he somehow manages to combine purple, with yellow plaid trousers and a red tie - a crisp white suit with black subtle stripes, or the full on "tennis" look (with matching socks to go!)

I personally love it, when guys go out of there way to dress "fun" - not only does it reflect your personality and sense of humor - it looks so much better then slim-fit shirts, with cleavage down to your belly...

Todays Inspiration: Elsa Hosk

My favourite man about town, Yvan Rodic (http://www.facehunter.blogspot.com/) is currently in Stockholm, hunting the fashionable crowd (or probabaly the other way around, this is Stockholm we are talking about now).

Off course Yvan found beautiful Swedish model Elsa Hosk outside Elle Style Awards. Elsa represents nothing else than fashion - LBD, Chanelbag, Marlboro Light and headband.

Also notice that Elsa did not bother to wear a bra (as long as you are A or B - what's the need for that?)

ASOS

I regularly pop into the fashion clothing site www.asos.com. They have a huge variety of clothing and accessories (not everything as nice), but sometimes you are able to find some great key pieces amongst the mass.

These are some items I really want - which would also go perfect with the rest of my wardrobe!

Love,

Anneli x

DAILY OUTFIT (Camilla): June 08

You know those days when you think nothing fits you, and you know it's just in your mind? Well, that is my day today. Instead: This picture is from my sisters high-shool graduation in Stockholm, June 2008.

Top with back-cleavage Monki, leggings Wolford, green platform shoes Topshop, ballerina necklace H&M, and bag from Chanel.

Beauty School: 5 Ways To Survive Winter

1. Change you normal bodylotion to a body oil. I love Ole Henriksen Lavender Body Oil.

2. Before applying your normal moisturizer, add a serum. My favourite is Perfectionist Serum by Estee Lauder.

3. Exfoliate daily with Dermalogica Daily Exfoliator, after washing your face in the morning.

4. Apply a hairmask in toweldried hair, and put a bathing cap on. Let it stay over the night and then wash it out in the morning. My favourite is K-Pak Reconstruct, from Joico.

5. Stay away from tanning beds - it really damages your skin. Instead, try a soft gradual self tanner, which you can apply every day. My favourite is Loreal's Nutribronze. (But keep it away from your face, self tanners really clogs the pores).

DAILY OUTFIT (Anneli): Portfolio Presentation

Today was our Portfolio meeting with the school board at IED. The assignment was to gather your best work throughout the 3-years, your CV and learning´s - into a Portfolio. It it based on the teachers & school-directors evaluation of your previous performance and school-work, to determine weather you are able to take the final thesis.

I decided to create an Online Web Portfolio (I´m so proud of myself, geeking away with html files and xlm code systems!). This will be so handy for me when I´m going job hunting very soon. Anyways, the presentation went very well! And I have a sneaky suspicion, it had a lot to do with my "power dressing" and killer-heels

I´m wearing dress from DVF, blazer from Filippa K, leggings from AA, shoes and key-necklace from Bimba & Lola and cuff from Mango.

Beauty Inspiration: Bottega Veneta

I'm already tired of the "The City" hairstyle, the hippe hairstyle and plats - all the hairstyles I'm usually wearing.
Next big party - I'm going to let the Bottega Veneta S/S 09 show inspire me. The two perfect doll-curls balance the rest of the tied-up hair. Remember to spray the hair before and after curling it, to keep the curls throughout the night.

They Know How

Black lace, dark hair and nude make-upPaula Björk & Nina Philipson from Patrikssons PR (a high-profiled Swedish PR Agency) know how to rock the goth trend - combining a subtle feminine twist, with the lace and intricate broidery details.

My Closet

I love my apartment. I love the brand new kitchen. I love our little balcony (I predict many late summer evenings with Lambrusco and Camilla). But what I love (maybe the most?) - is my closet. It is massive - has space for everything, and I never have the hassle of having to "dig" through it every morning.

My plan for tonight? After some wine yesterday, and being out all day with a close friend of mine - I´m ready to intake the sofa, light my new lemon/musk scented candle - and read some classic Marian Keys!

Have a lovely evening,

Anneli x

♡ Bimba & Lola

Bimba & Lola is one of my favorite Spanish brand of all time. They make the most beautiful accessories (as well as clothing). The style? Picture Blair Waldorf meets Kate Moss. Edgy - but preppy. They mix victorian plaited headbands with rock-chick booties.

This season I have been lusting after two pairs of shoes - one dark blue suede, laced-up & a classic pair of black, suede ankle booties. Yesterday I popped into the shop (with no expectation of finding them), but there they where - and on sale as well! It was fate, no? That´s at least what I had to tell myself - to "justify" buying both pairs. (I also bought a super-cute key necklace). So happy!

Check out their web page - it is divine: www.bimbaylola.es

Elle Style Awards - Best Dressed

1. Damernas Världs Fashion Editors Emma Sahlin and Martina Bonnier set an example by going all glamour in floor-length dresses.
2. My favourite fashion blog in Sweden is written by Linn Gustafsson, pictured to the left in The Row. Frida Fahrman looked stunning in the blue dress, perfect for her curvy and beautiful body shape.
3. Last - my best dresses award goes to my friend Hanna Fridén, to the right. The dress is amazing. Well done, well done!

Elle Style Awards From A Distance

Swedish Elle Style Awards is tonight, and my boyfriend is off course there together with my friend Hanna.
They promised me sms-blogging all night, but still - I need to do something even more fun! (Like the picture above, where me and my friend Nicole enjoyed a spring day in Barcelona on a bench). Or not.
So, I'm heading down to our local shop - wine and cheese is a good start. It's always a good start.
In the picture I'm wearing a Filippa K t-shirt, American Apparel skirt and Chanel ballerinas.

Thursdays Outfit: Dinner Out

Yesterdays outfit was inspired by a picture I found of my mother from the 70's. She is the most beautiful woman I know.

Celebratory Drinks

Hi everyone,

I went for some celebratory drinks yesterday (one more project done) - sadly, not in my wish outfit (from a previous post). We went for dinner and drinks in Gracia - then we actually (!) decided to go down to the Port (tourist area), for some late night dancing. Anyway, had an amazing evening - and weirdly enough  - I feel recharged and ready to embrace yet another work-weekend at home.

Todays Inspiration: Stephanie Gundelach

One of my (and Annelis!) favourite blogs is www.anywho.dk, a Danish blog written by three amazingly stylish girls. My main inspiration is stunning Stephanie Gundelach, pictured above.

Lively, Lovely

Personally, I´m not a huge fan of Blake Lively (Serena, from Gossip Girl) - as some of you might know, my favorite is Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf). But in the recent American Vogue - Blake is the picture of the classic, old-school beauty (in resemblance with 1920s Lauren Bacall-pictured below).

DAILY OUTFIT (Camilla): Final Presentation Day #2

I just came home from a final presentation in Global Markets. I was discussing a business case about the Italian MC-company Ducati and how they adapt their marketing strategy to different markets.
Kursiv
On Thursday we have our final presentation in Strategic Marketing, a 35-page report done individually. Mine is about a education website I'm working on.
As always when I present in front of people, I wear heels and my striped Ralph Lauren shirt. It makes me feel secure and focused.

Inspiration: Carla Bruni

5 reasons why I would prefer being a President-wife than a Footballers-wife:

1. Football is usually boring. Politics is not.
2. You travel to the worlds most interesting places (not small German villages).
3. You spend your time with intelligent people that devoted their life to important issues, not Victoria Beckham look-alikes (that all use the same plastic surgeon).
4. You will wear black powersuits and heels. No need for low-waisted jeans and logo-bags.
5. Your husband probably went to high-school.

"Vintage California"

Good Morning readers!

And WHAT a lovely morning is is here in Barcelona - the sun is shining and it´s a clear, blue sky. Too bad I have to sit inside working all day (have a deadline for Thursday).

Anyway, I´m on the Internet trying to find some jeans (I am in desperate need of some new ones). I am very picky on what suits me - I have previously found I suit Massimo Dutti, Acne and Filippa K jeans (usually straight leg/slim fit - with high/medium-length waist).

For all of you that are tall and slim - why not opt for the the "Vintage California" jeans from 7 of All Mankind? I would die to suit these.

The lovely Katie Holmes is pictured in them above.

Style at the Golden Globes 2008

Yes, it´s that time of the year. The event that the stars, stylists & fashion critics all wait for; The Golden Globes. I´ve gathered the best pics and styles from the event (which took place last night).

Apparent Trends:
  • The gathering of bracelets - mixing of styles and colors
  • Large rings - especially in emerald green colors
  • One-shoulder dresses
  • Prints
  • Satin
  • Figure-hugging dresses
  • Studded clutches - crystals/diamonds

DAILY DETAIL: All about the Legs

1. Tights from Armani, shoes from Topshop
2. Shoes from BCGB MAXMAZRIA
3. It´s all about the BLACK tights - sheer, opaque & shiny

Male Inspiration #1

Hermés S/S 09. French men usually dress amazing. The key is to find the balance between playful fashion, classics and masculinity.

DAILY INSPIRATION: Margherita Missoni

I first read about Margherita Missoni in the British Elle, when I was 16 years old. Already then, I was intrigued by her sensitiveness, natural beauty and bohemian style.

I love the way she mixes styles and trends (all in clothes from Missoni off course - being the ambassador of the Italian brand). And still, she continues to remain one of my main style icons through time.

Summer Time

Right now, I´m sitting inside my slightly chilled flat, trying to study (but finding myself doing everything else). I´m looking through pictures from warmer times - it´s making me truly miss the summer!

These pictures was taken from when all us girls went to Marbella, in 2007. We had the best 2 weeks together - the pictures are from one of our many outings (here we were at the club Panjea, in Puerto Banus). There is already talk about a little rendevouz girl trip this summer! Yeeej

I was wearing a black oversized vintage t-shirt (I changed), leggings from American Apparel and my favorite burgundy, lace-up booties from Vogue.

Mighty Carolina

Today I would like to say congratulations to my friend Carolina Engman, who with her blog Fashionsquad was voted number 19 in "Swedens most powerful fashion blogs".
Sweden is leading when it comes to fashion blogs. Not many other countries fashion scenes are so dependent on blogs as ours. It's a fenomena both loved and hated, and widely discussed. The jury behind the list consists of Swedens great fashion companies H&M, Acne, Dagmar etc.
Take a look at Carolinas blog here http://www.fashionsquad.com/, which always holds high quality and relevant content.

My Best Outfit 2008

My favorite outfit during 2008, was at the Stella McCartney After Party in Paris. I was dressed in Look 8 (from the Stella McCartney runway show) - the most amazing black, cut out lace dress. I wore it over my American Apparel tights, Topshop shoes, Saints&Demons fitted, leather jacket and a black, patent clutch from Malene Birger.

This was one of the most memorable nights of my life. There I was, surrounded by Stella & Paul McCartney, Twiggy, Anouk Lapere, Jefferson Hack, and many more. The party was the final to 8 intensive days with hard preparation to the Stella show - and I had slept merely 4 hours during the last 48 hours.

I remember getting ready for that night; drinking champagne with the other interns, in our tiny loft apartment in Paris - it was everyones last day. We where a bit emotional, exhausted and drained - but the feeling of finishing it all off at one of the most amazing parties - made me feel better & look better then ever, in the year 2008.

My Best Outfit 2008

As we start the new year, Anneli and I looked back at our pictures from the year and choosed our Best Outfit 2008. For me, this picture represents a wonderful day in my life. That Friday I just got paid from work and after a trip to the hairdresser I bought my Mulberry bag I had longed for. It was a wonderful feeling to buy such an investment with my own money that I worked hard for.

What was even better was that I was newly in love (maybe that is why I look so happy at this picture) and we had a great party to go to that night.

The minidress I'm wearing is a gift from my dear friend Josefin, the shoes are from Zara and the leather jacket from H&M. The hair was highlighted at Corinne & Friends in Stockholm.

Love,

Camilla

DVF SS09

I am simply obsessed with Diane Von Furstenberg´s SS09 Collection. It is absolutely mad with colors, mixture of textures and styles. But somehow, it works.

I can most definitely see myself stepping away from my signature black - into these colors this spring (and in the amazing headband!). Can´t wait.

Bradilicious?

I was speechless, after seeing the latest cover of W Magazine. On the front, was an aging, wrinkled man who was barely recognizable (Brad Pitt).

W Magazine are famous for their controversial photography - but they are always, beautiful, delectable covers. This one however - was a more rare issue.

Nevertheless, I must say, it is one of their best covers (yet to date). They have managed to portray one of the most renowned, good-looking men - looking more real and more, "one-of-us".

Best Dressed

Yesterday in Stockholm the fashionable music crowd gathered at the music gala of the year- Grammisgalan. My "Best dressed of the Gala" vote, goes to Maria Andersson, from Sahara Hotnights.

When you dress up, you hair and make-up is even more important than your outfit. It has to balance you colours and shapes, and optimize your overall look. Maria balances a straight cut hairstyle and jacket with a soft, ruffled dress. Her makeup focus on the eyes and leaves the lips bare. 10/10.

(And, she used to date Howlin' Pelle from The Hives. Say no more.)

Cherry Blossom

On my way over to Barcelona, I bought my new favorite lipstick at the airport. It´s from MAC; the shade Cherry Blossom. Love it. Apparently, it suits my winter complexion (so, the MAC sales lady said!)

DAILY OUTFIT: The Check Shirt

It´s been around for several months now - but I for one, am still a big fan of the check shirt! I especially like this one (from the scandinavian chain, Bik Bok). I love the color combination; feminine - but raw!

Living the Good Life (for a little while)

Some weeks ago, Camilla and I stayed at the most beautiful, 5-star hotel (with Camilla´s father) on the coast of Spain (Sitges). This picture is taken right after a day of luxury; spa, sauna and deep-therapy (much needed, after hell with exams & presentations!) Here we are on our way for a calm night, with dinner and drinks in the town (although, where we ended up, is another story!).

Camilla is wearing American Apparel tights, Zara shoes, Acne skirt, H&M fake fur & t-shirt from Filippa K
I am wearing a cape from Topshop, black body from Tiger of Sweden, high-waisted skirt from Mango, tights from H&M and shoes from Blanco.

DAILY OUTFIT: ♥ Copenhagen

One of my closest & dearest friend, Maren, has been living in Copenhagen for two years, where she studies Architecture. Maren has always dressed very well - but it was not until after she moved to Copenhagen, she truly found her personal style and taste. A mixture of old, new, classic & quirky!

I love the combination of the soft pink, with the washed out black denim skirt!

You Can Do Better #1

Dear Claire,
1. Dryclean and iron your dress before a party that will end up at style.com.
2. Do not wear a dress that does not fit you skintone or shape, no matter how hip the brand is.
3. Wear a matte foundation if your dress is shiny.
4. Smile.

Pale YSL

I let this classis YSL Opium perfume ad communicate what I try to convince myself this time a year; Classic beauties are pale.

Gisele & Kate Moss for VERSACE

Yep - just as the financial crisis is rapidly tumbling on top of us - the luxury brands go for the most effective measures; the most powerful supermodel, Gisele Bundchen & fashion icon, Kate Moss - together, for VERSACE.

And - why not?

DAILY DETAIL: Anneli in London

1. Who says Ray Bans are done for the season (s)? I have always just tended to wear what suits me. I ♥ my white Wayfarers from last summer (and I continue to wear them in winter!)
2. My Mulberry ´Emma`. I love it  - it´s just too heavy.
3. After countless, sleepless nights on Ebay (waking up at 3am to bid on items!) - I finally got one (of several) vintage Dior bags. I especially like this one - and it has a detachable strap!

DAILY OUTFIT: London Calling

Along with cheddar, short bread (traditional English biscuits) & wine - these fine little booties from Topshop Boutique, came home in the suitcase from London.

Oh yes - I can definetly see myself in these, this spring!

T-Shirt & booties from Topshop, merino wool tights from Wolford.

DAILY INSPIRATION: Vouge Italia

DAILY OUTFIT: Artic Climate

Stockholm shows -12 degrees right now. My H&M (fake) fur saves me.

Latest Parties

1. Afterparty: Scarf Zara, blazer H&M.
2. New Years Eve with Tina: I'm wearing a toga dress from Nakkna and earrings from Åhléns. (Take an extra look at Tinas golden eye makeup!)
3. Friday night out with Viktor Barth-Kron and Hanna Fridén at V, after an amazing dinner at Mathias Nordgren and Ida Siléns new stylish apartment.

Get ready, set.....GO!

The sales. We both hate it and love it. For me, the sales are the times when you can manage to get hold of good quality, classic pieces - but where you really need to restrain yourself to overload on seasonal items (like in this years case - tassles & boho chic).

I have my eyes on this fabulous patchwork leather bag from Miu Miu (www.net-a-porter.com - now €594). A classic!

INSPIRATION: Richard Biedul

My newfound friend Richard (aka. Richie/Beedle) is one of my recent fashion inspirations. Not only does he combine the unimaginable (gold bauble necklace with low v-necks and printed elk motives), he does it seemingly - all so effortlessly.

(Some of you may recognize him from a recent posting with the Sailor hat!)

Love his style.

Outfit of the Day: New Years Eve 2009

Hi there! Sorry for not updating for a while - I have been away to London and had a long awaited break from my MacBook

Anyways- after a long debate and pondering regarding what to wear for NYE (between three dresses actually), I ended up wearing something quite different (then what originally intended). We only actually decided last minute what we where going to do; a road trip and party at a house in the country! It would be an understatement to say it was one the most adventurous, different and eventful NYE I have ever had. There we all where, 30 of us, around a massive bonfire on a field (yes, you heard right), having a barbeque in the shed, with outside speakers, dancing away to Kings of Leon & Justice (bearing in mind, we where outside from 7pm to the wee morning hours.) Good times.

I ended up wearing my favorite Stella McCartney for Adidas jacket, Massimo Dutti merino wool jumper & jeans, H&M chunky scarf & hat and my JuJu pink wellies (love them!) Although it was not one of my finest fashion moments - it will so far remain one of the best NYE yet to date.

Will be back with more London events & pics.

Love xx

Anneli & 2009

I can't wait to see Anneli. She is the main reason that make me want to go back to Barcelona again. I have loved my years there, but being home with my family and friends during Christmas really made it harder to motivate myself to go back for the last five months.
I promised myself to finish my Bachelor degree, no matter how hard it was to stay. I'm proud that I stayed, and I can't belive that I will have a three-year degree by the age of 21. (I hope I'm aloud to say that!)
I'm looking forward to late night wine discussions, long days at the beach, breakfast at our pretty balcony and working on our thesis project. 2009 will be a interesting year for both of us Anneli!
